How long has the Saints Easter Rugby Festival been around?
2010 will be 27th year.
What is the event about?
The Festival focuses on good South African school boy rugby, with teams who would not normally compete with one another during a season. Furthermore it is a family oriented weekend which includes good sport, a hospitality tent, a children’s play area, food vendors, any many other events.
Is there parking?
The school is set on 105 hectares and provides safe parking within this area.
Can we purchase photos?
A professional photographer will be at St Stithians during the Easter Rugby Festival taking action photos of all matches and selling prints at the field. The photos will NOT be available for order off any website later, so boys and parents are encouraged to bring along some cash for some memorable keepsakes. A5 prints @ R30 each A4 prints @ R45 each
Which was the first schoolboy festival?
St Stithians was the first and is the oldest schoolboy rugby festival in the country.
Is there an entrance fee?
The cost is R30 per day payable on entry to the school.
What time are the games?
Please refer to the fixture list.
What are the rules regarding alcohol?
Alcohol may not be brought onto the campus or consumed outside the designated alcohol areas such as the OSA Hospitality Tent and the Supporters Club Pavilion.
Are there Vegetarian meals available?
Vegetarian sandwiches and salads can be requested at the Tuck shop situated near the cricket nets.
Is there entertainment for younger children?
Yes, further details on what will be available will be posted at a later date.
Where can I find information about campus facilities and services?
Do you re-cycle?
The school has a re-cycling area and all cans, bottles, plastic, paper etc are sorted and sent for re-cycling. St Stithians College has a ‘green’ policy and takes care to reduce the carbon footprint at all times.
